Swim activities in Cancun, Mexico. Duration of the Royal
Swim Program is 1 hour, including the orientation, and
in group sizes of no more than eight (10 in Cozumel).
This is by far the best of the programs and worth every
penny.
You enter the water in your life jacket, and are stood
on a platform, emersed in the sea upto your waist. You
will be greeted by a pair of dolphins, with a  handshake
and a kiss on the cheek. The dolphins will then wait
for you to return the kiss, and pose for a photograph.
Next comes the Dorsal Tow. You will swim out and adopt
the position that you were told in the orientation,
then as the dolphins arrive, you hold on to their dorsal
fins and get towed back to the platform.
 Next
comes the highlight of the Royal Swim Program - the
Foot Push. Again you will swim out away from the platform,
and adopt the foot push position. You will then feel
the dolphins arrive and start to push you rapidily through
the water, until you are stood upright and out of the
water. This is truely the Experience of a lifetime.
In the free time swim that follows you will get to
pet  and
stroke the dolphins, dance with then and watch them
leap out of the water. Make sure that you keep that
smile on your face for the duration of the program,
as everything is captured on video and still photographs.
You will be taken to the video room on completion of
the swim to allow you time to view the video and have
it personalised for you, should you wish to purchase
it.
 It
is recommend that guests bring a towel, suntan lotion,
money for taxis & shopping, and take some time to
explore the rest of Isla Mujeres.
In order to participate on the Royal Swim program, children
should be at least 8 years old and a minimum of 4 ft
tall. A paying participating adult is  still
required with children until they reach 12 years.
Pregnant women should not participate. If you have
any physical or mental limitations, please contact us
before booking. The use of safety vests is required
in all Dolphin Discovery programs.
The Royal Swim Program is also offered at our Mexican
facilities on the islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres
and in Puerto Aventuras. People staying in Cancun and
on Isla Mujeres should use the Isla Mujeres facility.
People staying at the Moon Palace or any other location
along the Riviera Maya should use the Puerto Aventuras
location, and people staying in Cozumel should visit
Dolphin Discovery Cozumel.
