How do I know that there
is a room available?
As a general rule we have availability at the
hotels listed on the britsincancun web site
as we have an allotment of rooms. In the event
there is not availability your credit card will
not be charged. You are actually more likely
to get a room if you send in your credit card
as soon as possible and not let more time pass
before your arrival date. No reservation is
made without payment in advance. See
the section on payments.
If no room is available for your trip dates
then we will send you a list of hotels, similar
in cost, and accommodations for you to make
another selection. We will await your response
to make any reservation.
What is the cost of the
room for the time period I have selected?
All hotels listed have a table of dates number
of persons and room prices. Please look at the
table and select the type of room you need such
as Double, Single, Triple or Quadruple. Then
look at the dates you desire to come and select
the rate for that time period.
How do I know the price on
the Internet is correct?
The prices you see on our websites are correct.
We guarantee any price you see on our site. You
will not pay more than the price listed.
How do I calculate the total
price of a room?
Here are two examples to help you understand
how much your hotel room will cost. One Example
l is for European Plan-Room Only and Example
2 is an All Inclusive Plan.
Example: Assume that you are family of; 2 adults,
2 children ages 10 and 13. You want to spend
7 days at the following hotel with a European
Plan-Room Only. Arriving June 5 and departing
June 12, 2003 the total coast will be:

I
have questions about making a reservation and
what happens once I make a reservation.
I send in a reservation
with my credit card and what happens?
Once you send a reservation we call the hotel
and confirm that there is space available for
sure. Then we charge your card and send the
reservation request to the hotel. The hotel
will send us back a “confirmation number.” We
then put the confirmation number on a coupon
or voucher and send it to you in an email. You
print it and that is your paid receipt for the
room for the hotel for the nights purchased.
You present it to the hotel at check in.
Will
it take more than 48 hours to receive a response?
We try to get reservations back to you within
48 hours. However, if it takes more than 48
hours it is generally due to the hotel not sending
us the confirmation number in a timely manner.
If your reservation is in the near future be
assured that we are in contact with the hotel
to get your confirmation quickly. If your reservation
is 1 month or more in the future many times
the hotels are slow to get us back the confirmation
number.
If you are in doubt and more than 48 hours has
passed and you have received no email from us
updating the status of your reservation please

Should
I send in my credit card with the reservation?
When you have selected a hotel and the dates
you want it is in your best interest to send
the reservation in with credit card information.
That way we make the reservation. If you send
in a reservation form without a credit card
number inquiring about availability then we
respond, simply more time passes giving the
hotel more time to not have availability. Again
once you are ready to reserve it is best to
send your reservation with a credit card. Please
remember no reservation is made until we have
payment via your credit card or by other means.
What
happens if there is no space in the hotel I
want?
If the hotel you want to reserve has no space
we will not charge your card. We will call you
immediately and have other recommendations for
you in similar hotels.
How
can I check the status of my reservation?
It is our objective that you know what is happening
with your reservation. We will send you an update
if we are going to be longer than 48 hours getting
you a response. If 48 hours has gone by and
you have not had an update please call +52-998-889-9103
or +521-998-179-5535 from outside Mexico.
I
have questions about security of credit card
and personal information.
Is my credit card information
secure?
All of our registration forms are on a secure
server. If you will look in the bottom of your
browser you will see a little padlock. The padlock
symbol means that you are making your reservation
on a secure server.
How is my personal information
used?
Your personal information is used only to aid
in the making of this reservation. Your personal
information will not be passed on to others
and you will only receive correspondence relating
to this reservation.
I
have questions about the guest rooms.
What is the difference between
a Single, Double, Triple and a Quadruple hotel
guest room?
A "single room" is a hotel guest room with only
one occupant. * with a single person supplement
usually applicable.
A "double room" is a hotel guest room with two
occupants. 1 King size bed or 2 Queens.
A "triple room" is a hotel guest room with three
occupants.
A "quadruple room" is a hotel guest room with
four occupants.
Do children count in the
determination of a double, triple or quadruple
guest room?
Generally children under 12 do not count as
an occupant in a hotel room and are free.
This may change in an All Inclusive property.
Also generally two children below twelve are
welcome in the same room with two adults. See
the details of each specific hotel.
Does this hotel have suites,
if so how much do they cost?
Please read closely the description on the guest
rooms on the information page for each hotel.
Generally the different room types available
are on the Brits in Cancun website. If the room
requirement, or type of room you need is not
displayed please send a reservation form with
your room special request in the "comments box,"
so the Brits in Cancun staff can answer your
request.
Are connecting rooms available?
Most hotels have connecting rooms or at least
have rooms available side by side.
Please indicate in the special instructions
box labeled "Please enter your questions, comments…"
I
have questions about the cost.
What is European Plan-Room
only?
"European-room only" pricing displays the price
of the room for the specified number of people
in the room. "European-room only" pricing is
not a price per person. If a Double room cost
$100, then the cost of the "room only" for two
people is $100 plus applicable taxes. If the
cost of a triple room is $120 then the cost
of the "room only" for three people is $120
plus applicable taxes. (All-Inclusive pricing
is always per person, see below.)
Every hotel on the Brits in Cancun website has
a "European Plan-Room Only" rate box for the
different time periods if the "room only" option
is available. (Some hotels are "all inclusive"
exclusively, while others have "all-inclusive"
and "room only" available, and some are "room
only.") To determine the price in the "European
Plan-Room only" option first look at the date
column and find the date of your visit, then
view room prices in the columns based on the
number of people in the room. Double Room prices
are for two people sharing the same room. Single
room price is one person in the room. Triple
room price is three people sharing the same
room. Quadruple room price is four people sharing
the same room.
What is All Inclusive Pricing?
All Inclusive pricing is always on a per person
basis in rate boxes for each hotel. Each hotel
has an all-inclusive rate box for the different
time periods if the all-inclusive rate plan
is available. (Some hotels are “room only",
while others have “room only” and “all inclusive
available", while some are exclusively “all-inclusive".)
The standard industry definition of “All Inclusive”
means the following items are included in the
price quoted:
- Your
guest room in the category selected
- All
your food and snacks
- All
your drinks; alcoholic and non-alcoholic,
Generally National Drinks
- All
your tips
- All
your taxes
- Non-motorized
water sports
Caution:
Some websites quote all-inclusive and then when
you go to pay add the taxes which in Cancun
are 12% and in the rest of Mexico 17%. Our Taxes
are Included.
I
have questions about paying
Must I pay for the entire
reservation now?
If the arrival date is more than 30 days in
the future then you must pay a deposit (1 night
+ tax) for "room only," or a 1-night deposit
per person for an "all inclusive" reservation.
This one night deposit is required for each
room you desire to reserve. Then, 30 days before
your arrival date we will charge your credit
card or send you a Paypal for the balance owed
for your reserved room(s). Reservations must
be paid 100% at the time the reservation is
made, if the arrival date is less than 30 days
in the future.
Must I pay by credit card?
No. We do allow you to make a wire transfer
into our USA, UK or Mexican bank account. We
can also accept a certified cheque or Paypal.
Send us an email and we will send you instructions
on How to wire money to us for the reservation.
I
have questions about transportation from the
airport.
How does one get from the
airport to the hotel?
Transfers from the airport to the hotel are
generally not included in hotel pricing. The
best and most reliable way to get to your hotel
is to take the Cancun Transportation Services
private service. Click
here for hotel transfer information. Cancun
Transportation Services is one of our sister
companies and can cater for the Individual,
family or group at very competitive prices.
- When
you arrive at the Cancun Airport normal
transportation is in vans that are full
of other passengers that are going to their
hotel too. You must wait until the van is
full to depart for your hotel. Further depending
on where your hotel is located in the hotel
zone you could be in the van for up to 1
hour waiting to arrive at your hotel. The
cost of this transportation is about $12.00
USD per person. There are no private taxis
from the airport as it is a federal zone.
Your only alternative is private transportation.
- Caution:
There are certain Internet ground transportation
providers in Cancun, that sell ground transportation
who do not inform you that the transportation
they offer is not private. If you see a
charge per person (not per vehicle as with
Cancunvista) you are dealing with transportation
that is a typical airport shuttle with other
passengers.
- If
you elect to use CancunVista private transportation
you will be take directly to your hotel
without any additional stops. This could
save you up to 1 hour of precious vacation
time.
- For
your return trip to the airport our transportation
will arrive at your hotel at the designated
time you choose. No waiting for taxis.
- Enjoy

If
I reserve transportation how do I know there
is a van available?
We have never had to turn away a transfer for
lack of a vehicle. Make your reservation and
be assured we will be there for you. Book with

I
have questions about "All Inclusive"
What does "All Inclusive"
mean?
The standard industry definition of “All Inclusive”
means the following items are included in the
price quoted:
- Your
Room
- All
your food and snacks
- All
your drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic
(Generally National Liquors)
- All
your tips
- All
your taxes
Caution:
Some websites quote all-inclusive and then when
you go to pay add the taxes which in Cancun

What
does "National Liquor " mean?
National liquors are liquors made in Mexico.
National Liquor includes Mexican Beers, Rum,
Tequila, Vodka, Gin, and Brandies. Generally
"National Liquor," is what is included in your
All Inclusive package.
I
have questions about "European Plan."
What
is "European Plan?"
European Plan means that in the pricing the
only thing included is your room. Taxes are
not included and no food or beverage is included.
European Plan really means room only.
I
have questions about cancellations
What
is your cancellation policy?
Any reservation made with Brits in Cancun can
be cancelled up to 14 days before the reserved
check in date -unless otherwise indicated on
the specific hotel web page. Reservations cancelled
14 days or more before the check in date receive
a full refund less a non-refundable 5% credit
card charging fee.
Reservations
cancelled between 13 to 0 days (unless otherwise
indicated on the specific hotel web page) before
the reserved check in date will be charged a
one (1) night "no show fee." The balance of
the refund will be subject to a 5% non-refundable
credit card charging fee.
No
notification of an intended cancellation results
in forfeiture of the total amount paid for the
room(s).
